About Dana:

Dana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and, over the course of 19 years, she has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in an outpatient setting, public and alternative schools, and private practice.  She specializes in anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and those who are adjusting to life changes.  During the last 5 years she has worked, more specifically, with children in early childhood.  She has helped parents understand their child’s needs and how to best support them.  Dana has found working with parents to be a key element in supporting their child and welcomes the partnership.

Dana takes a holistic approach, in which she believes in the importance of looking at the whole person when understanding what an individual is going through, how they experience challenges, and how to move beyond them.  Through therapy, her goal is to create a safe place for clients to feel comfortable being who they are in the therapeutic relationship and empowered to thrive.

You will find her practice to be client-centered.  She uses an Integrative therapeutic approach, in which she draws from various modalities of therapy and tailors it to each individual.  Some of her practices include play therapy, expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy.

Dana graduated from Aurora University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is a Licensed School Social Worker, as well as, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  In her spare time, you will find her hiking, biking, and attending performing arts events with her family.
