Group Therapy Services
At CORE Connection we offer a variety of group therapy services designed to foster connection, support, and personal growth. Our groups provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop valuable skills.
Our therapists work to make sure the group is a good fit for the clients goals and needs and that the group participants will work well together.
Therapeutic groups may be billable to and covered by insurance while some groups are considered educational groups and are self-pay only.
Types of Therapy Groups

Social-Emotional Skills Groups
Develop and practice new skills with well matched peers. Parents are provided feedback and ideas to apply the skills learned.

Neurodivergent Skills Groups
A safe space for neurodivergent individuals to develop skills and a sense of belonging. Also gain a place for families to connect and share experiences to support each other.

Young Adult Therapy Groups
Tailored for college-aged individuals, these sessions focus on navigating transitions, managing stress, and developing life skills in a supportive environment.

Parenting Groups
Designed for parents seeking guidance and support, we focus on effective parenting strategies, addressing common challenges, and building a supportive community.

Crafting Calm 2nd - 4th grade
A seven-week, co-ed group exploring artistic activities as a way to assist with calming anxiety and improving regulation skills.
Grades: Entering 2nd-4th
Wednesday at 6:30 pm, 50 minute group
Group Dates: June 10, 17, 24
July 1, 8, 15, 22
Group members must be able to verbally communicate with other members and independently regulate without the presence of a parent or guardian
Early Registration by May 22nd $350 (if paid by check/Venmo)
Regular Registration Fee: $365
Plus Materials cost- $15 per participant
Examples of activities- sensory water bottles, Model Magic worry monsters, experimental Lego activities, creating Mandalas, etc.

Wild & Grounded: A Summer Nature Circle for Kids
Wild & Grounded is a gentle, exploration-based group designed to help kids get out of their heads and into their bodies through nature, creativity, and mindful play.
Together, we’ll explore grounding, sensory awareness, and emotional connection through hands-on experiences and simple practices inspired by mindfulness and the body’s natural rhythms.
Grades: 3rd-6th Co-Ed
Monday & Wednesday @ 12 noon -Meets twice a week for 5 weeks
Dates: June 15, 17, 22, 24 & 29
July 1, 6, 8, 13, & 15
Activities to Expect:
-Nature-based sensory exploration (rocks, sticks, leaves, flowers, etc.)
-Creative activities like nature mandalas and rock painting
-Intro to gardening basics
-Gentle somatic and mindfulness activities
-Movement practices such as simple yoga and tai chi (no experience needed)
-Opportunities for connection, curiosity, and joy
Self-pay educational group
Early Registration by May 22nd: $500 (when paid by check/Venmo)

Junior High Social Theatre
Social Theatre utilizes targeted skill improv and collaborative play writing/practice to teach and practice social skills. Social Thinking®, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts are intertwined into group activities.
Grades: 6, 7 & 8- Level 1 Autism, ADHD or other neurodivergence
Saturdays at 10 am
Dates: TBD
Goals:
Create a safe space for kids to connect with peers
Rehearse social behaviors to increase social connection
Learn to brainstorm accepting and bulding on others ideas
Enhance confidence through validating experience

Mind & Body Reset
The Mind & Body Reset is a small-group summer program designed to help middle schoolers understand their emotions and learn how to regulate their bodies in real, practical ways.
Each session combines simple, accessible movement, journaling and mindfulness with straightforward teaching about how the brain and nervous system respond to stress.
Grades: 6th- 8th Co-Ed group
Tuesday & Thursday @ 10am
Dates: June 16, 18, 25, 30 July 7, 9, 14
Participants will come away with:
-An understanding of how the brain and body react to stress (fight/flight/freeze)
-How to notice early signs of anxiety or overwhelm
-Breathing techniques that actually help in the moment
-Simple yoga-based movements to calm or refocus
-How to build a personal “reset plan” for school, home, and social situations

Connect & Grow Cafe
Connect and Grow Cafe is a place to connect with others that are going through similar life transitions, while exploring topics to help you thrive as an adult.
Designed for Adults in their 20s-30s with with diagnosis, or functioning typical of, Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1-2*
